WHERE WOULD ROONEY FIT IN WHEN MOURINHO’S WAR CHEST IS COMPLETE.

    Jose Mourinho is planning a revolution at Old Trafford and Wayne Rooney is to lead the forces on the pitch but where would the head of the war forces fit when all the pieces of the war chest arrives. Wayne Rooney thrived in various positions through out his career either as a striking partner, a lone striker, a midfielder in the hole and both as an attacking and holding midfielder. Below are the analysis of various positions the skipper of the three lions could fit in the team;

Supporting striker;

This is the easiest position the English man can land in the current set up. Even with more creative players in Mkhitariyan and Juan Mata on the side, Rooney seems to be the favorite to have the position to himself with Mkhitaryan possibly playing on the flanks and Mata would likely be a second option if he doesn’t leave the club.

The forward had thrived in that position in the glittering years of his almost decade and half career alongside the likes of Tevez, Van Nistrooy, and Berbatov playing ahead of him.

Attacking Midfielder;

If United fails to land both Pogba and Matuidi which seems unlikely Wayne Rooney might be deployed as the man to take the mantle of the main midfield role. This is the position the English man currently fills in the heart of the national team and he really stepped his game up and would probably be able to hold up United for at least a single season.

Striker;

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are on current form better options as strikers to a sharpness lacking and aging Wayne Rooney. But Mourinho has promised to keep the skipper close to scoring regions which means he might at some stage be deployed as the main striker of the team if the need calls for.

WHERE IS THE EL MATADOR GONE?

The Spanish power house Rafael Nadal is dearly missed by the courts(most especially clay). The man that once upon a time controlled the game is now missing from the top five players on the planet. At the age of 29 Nadal should be at his prime as a super talented tennis player but it seem like injuries have gotten the better of spaniard. His strong serves and incredible backhands are starting to look like something of the past as the opponents see him very easy to accommodate nowadays.
The man who usually stops Djokovic and Federer seems to have the likes of Nalbandian as serious challenges. His country man Ferrer seems to have over taken him in the game right now and the king of the clay court seems like he needs mud courts to pick up. He failed all through this years Grand slams Wimbledon and the US open remaining and a probability that he would hardly finish among the last four of the both tournaments.

The likes of Novak seem to be ten steps ahead of the 14 times grand slams winner as injuries have Blighted the Manacor born gentleman. Nadal has since his injury in 2013 being looking for the right form that would take him back to the top of the noble game. His game is easily read and defeating him is not even a big deal anymore. The king of clay courts needs the right state of mind and support to overtake the people who have placed themselves ahead of him, doing that is not an easy feat so Nadal would have to prepare for 2016 and make his big return and show the world that El Matador is still around and is here to conquer.

AND WE ARE OUT!

It all started like a disney story we were certain for a beautiful ending but after qualification against Club Brugge anytime we step into the pitch for a Champions League fixture we look like a weightless boat going against the tide.
Manchester United started like a house on fire in the first play-off fixture against Belgian Club Brugge. They outperformed their counterparts, created a lot of goal scoring chances and Memphis Depay had his best game so far against the minnows. The second leg wasn’t any different story as it looked certain that United would qualify and they did that at ease with Rooney taking them to the cleaners in a game the finished on a 7-1 aggregate.
Then the big competition came and United were given a slightly favorable group which included Wolfsburg, PSV, and CSKA Moscow. Everyone expected United to qualify from the group with ease but united made it hard on them selves with below par performances across all the six fixtures.
It all started in far Holland against the champions and Memphis Depay’s former club. The Dutch man hit his former employees hard as he opened the scoring. But with Luke Shaw suffering a devastating broken leg and a low morale the dutch team went on to stage a comeback and defeat a helpless United with two goals to one.
Match day two at Old Trafford came and United had to salvage something to give themselves a hope that all is not lost. United played badly actually their worst performance in the Champion League but got the points after coming from behind to win 2-1 courtesy Mata’s penalty and Smalling’s finish from Mata’s amazing pass.

Then the tricky one came m, the Russians and underdogs of the group hosted United in a chilled night in Moscow and never rested until they made United lose their guard and the Russians opened the scoring in a match United were very not enthusiastic about. United had to push with all they had and Summer super acquisition Anthony Martial pulled the leveler to earn United a point in Russia.
Now it was time for United to host the Russians in a warmer Old Trafford. The Russian capital club were relentless again and tried as hard as possible to break United’s heart but De gea and Smalling stood tall to the task which meant Rooney’s late header meant United were home and dry with the three points.
And here came the team that caused Luke Shaw’s predicament they wished him well though at Old Trafford but never treated United well as they held the Manchester giants to a stalemate which meant United chance of qualifying to the next round was shaky and on the balance.
The trip to Bastian Schweinsteiger’s motherland was the make or break match for an injury depleted and non-goalscoring Man United squad. United arrived in Germany with a lot of hopes of qualifying to the next round and Anthony Martial’s early opening goal looked like a confirmation until Naldo pegged United back and it didn’t take Wolfsburg long to take the lead Via Vieirinha ending a beautiful move by Julian Draxlar. Before halftime United seem to have equalized but the goal was called off for offside and United had to wait until the 82nd minute to have their equalizer via an own goal but Naldo wasn’t ready to share the points with United as he gave Wolfsburg the lead moments later to send United parking to Europe’s lower tier competition the Europa League.

Is he worth it?

Anthony Martial is the new boy at Old Trafford, the man to inherit the number nine jersey. But the price tag might throw a lot of pressure on the 19years old french striker i though he claimed it wouldnt. He is man united most expensive acquisition this summer and is LVG’s second most expensive acquisition after Angel Di Maria. He is the most expensive teenage transfer.
Martial is brought to united in a stage that their offensive line is weak. Van persie Hernandez and Falcao have all departed. Rooney and Wilson are the only options with the earlier firing blanks and the later being naive to be the number one man. The frenchman is definitely unproven and too unexperienced to be the main man. He was the highest scorer last season in Europe under the age of 20 with 9 goals. The frenchman is full of potentials and talents only his inexperience would work against his massive wealth of potentials.

So would the frenchman achieve the greatness of Eric Cantona at the theatre of dreams?

The Special one’s in House Drama.

The champions den is in discomfort and needs utmost attention from who it might concern before it crumbles.we cant deny the fact that Jose Mourinho has the most balanced team in the league but it seems like external factors have such as tension, pressure, stress and fatigue are affecting the team’s performance. After four competitive games Mourinho was able to pick up only one win not mentioning the fact that the team failed to win any game in 90 minutes during the preseason tour.
Lets just go back to game day one. Chelsea were against Swansea City, it was expected to be a one way traffic Chelsea win and the game started like that but then things went against the expected as Jefferson Montero made a mess a of Ivanovic and gave him a torrid game. Ivanovic was horrible all through the game, then Thaibut Courtois came and made the day worse as he recieved a red card later in the game and Chelsea were reduced to 10 men plus the penalty conceded. Chelsea were lucky to escape with a draw but an incident occurred few minutes to the final whistle, Hazard was fouled and he had a dramatic fall which caused a stir on Chelsea’s bench as Mourinho assumed that the fall required no medical attention but the medical crew thought otherwise as Eva Carnieo rushed into the pitch to give Hazard medical assistance and that reduced Chelsea to 9 men as They were chasing the game and there a war began between Mourinho and Eva and he ended up dropping her out of his bench a situation which caused a lot of drama that later died down.

There came week two as an unsettled Chelsea were up against their biggest title rivals Man city. Looking at match day one statistics man city entered the game as favorites and that fact didn’t change all through the game as they sky blues dominated and cruised to a three nill victory against the champions. For the second consecutive game Ivanovic was made mess of this time by Sterling and Kolarov as they gave him total unrest additionally Mourinho decided to make John Terry the scapegoat of the loss as he claimed that Chelsea’s defense lacked pace and he needed to add pace by bringing in Zouma for Terry instead of a Cahill that was easily out paced by Aguero. With the wrong man being substituted Chelsea went on to conceded two more goals as Zouma couldn’t perform the task, that substitution was the beginning of trouble in paradise for Jose and Terry.

Then week three came by and Mourinho was against his nemesis Tony Pulis in the West Brom camp. New boy Pedro started and brought a breath of new life to the team as they cruised to a 3-1 first half lead courtesy the spanish players Cesar, Costa and Pedro. It simply looked like Chelsea were now revitilised and have their problems behind them as this time around Mourinho dropped Cahill for Zouma instead of Terry, but as unpredicted to Jose he had to call on Cahill at a time he didn’t expect as a reckless Terry received his marching orders for the fifth red card in his premier league career which caused a downfall to the team’s structure as West Brom scored their second goal and if not for their penalty miss earlier the spoils would have been shared and again Ivanovic made a case for him to be dropped to the bench as he was at it again, given a restless match by Mcmanaman inclusively he was the loophole in Chelsea’s defense.
Going a bit far from those that totally disappointed to those that are no more their old selves those that their sole effort won the title for Chelsea last season they look worn out and tired. I am talking about Eden Hazard, Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa these three were the ones who won the league for Chelsea last season with their heroics in need, assists and goals respectively. But now they don’t resemble players that can replicate such a performance as they look normal and easy to contain, isolating them is no more a big deal. Nightmares they caused now look merely sweet dreams and defenders don’t go the extra mile to stop them anymore. So is it that teams have found the way to stopping these players or are they tired and they need rest because title defense is a far cry from what chelsea are currently doing.

Worth More than the Joker.

The joker card in a deck game is merely a downgrade to Novak Djokovic. He is actually the King and everything he does points to that. The Serbian is an absolute pleasure watching with his tennis skills out of this world as

he sits comfortably as the number 1 tennis player on the planet. The man who had a 43 match win streak seems unapproachable once more as he rose above par and expectations. He has showed the world that he is the extra ordinary. He holds a lot of records in the open era.
The Belgrade born tennis player is young and widely acclaimed as one of the best tennis players of the open era. He might surpass legends like Federer if he continues at this rate with 12 Grand slams at the age of 28 Novak seems to have the hall of fame waiting. The tricky and fast handed Serbian gives any man a tough time on the court as he has beaten all the top seeded players on his way to grand slam successes. Djokovic has been consistent since he became a professional in 2003 and has continued his rise with the least hitches.
The fact that behind every successful man is a woman just started working on Novak after his marriage in 2014 to his high school sweetheart Jelena Ristić he has turned to a phenomena and an unstoppable machine. He just edges closer to the legends with every point, set and game. He is the favorite to win every tournament he participates his leash overthrew Roger, Nadal, Murray and others and Novak doesn’t look like stopping as he looks set to smash every record in the game.
